SAN JOSE, CA - Jalen Miller clubbed a pair of home runs that scored four runs and Frandy De La Rosa added a round-tripper and four RBIs of his own to send the Giants a 9-6 win over the Rawhide.

Despite trailing 3-2 after four innings, Visalia (27-24) used a wild fifth to take their only lead of the game. Luis Silverio doubled with one out and Marcus Wilson followed by drawing a walk from San Jose starter Melvin Adon. Camden Duzenack then reached on an error by shortstop Brandon Van Horn to load up the bases for Daulton Varsho.
With reliever Peter Lannoo taking over for Adon, Varsho hit a hard grounder to the right side that was stopped by a diving De La Rosa at first. De La Rosa popped to his feet and flipped to Lannoo covering the bag, but Varsho beat the throw for an infield single that brought home Silverio and tied the game.
Lannoo then got wild and walked Drew Ellis and Pavin Smith to bring home two more runs for the Rawhide. Ramon Hernandez followed Smith by hitting a grounder up the middle that kicked off of Lannoo and caromed to Miller, resulting in a run-scoring fielder's choice at second. At the time, the Rawhide led 6-3.
But San Jose (27-24) roared back for three runs in the fifth, including Miller's first home run, and another three in the sixth on Miller's second blast of the game, this time off of Robby Sexton (L, 0-1).
Rawhide starter Connor Grey lasted 4.1 innings and allowed six runs, only three of which were earned, on seven hits with four strikeouts and a pair of walks. Adon also retired one out in the fifth before being lifted for Lannoo (W, 1-1). Adon allowed five runs, four earned, on seven hits with five strikeouts and two walks.
Dylan Rheault (SV, 3) walked Marcus Wilson to begin the ninth but then retired the next three hitters in succession on groundouts to close out the game for San Jose.
Wilson reached base four times with a solo homer, a single, and two walks and Camden Duzenack finished with a pair of doubles. The Rawhide collected ten hits as a team and fell for just the fourth time this season when reaching the ten-hit plateau.
Hernandez and Ellis were both charged with errors, leading to the three unearned runs on Grey's record. Visalia has now committed 32 errors in May that have led to 25 unearned runs.
The Rawhide will continue their four-game series in San Jose tomorrow night. The Rawhide will feature RHP Shelby Miller in a Major League rehab start for the Arizona Diamondbacks against Giants RHP Logan Webb (1-2, 1.80). First pitch is set for 6:30 PM and the live radio broadcast will be available on rawhidebaseball.com.
