RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA - With a base hit, a catcher's interference, and a walk, the Rawhide loaded the bases with two outs in the top of the ninth inning while locked in a 5-5 tie. Then, after a week where all of their luck had seemingly run out, they got one more gift.

Dominic Miroglio worked a strong at bat against Ryan Mosely and got ahead in the count three and one. Mosely missed the zone with his fifth pitch of the at bat and walked Miroglio to bring home Luis Silverio as the go-ahead run and give Visalia a 6-5 lead.
Kevin Ginkel (SV, 2) locked down a perfect ninth inning to secure the save for Visalia (20-15).
Visalia took advantage of wildness from Quakes pitchers all night. Miroglio was plunked by a pitch from Isaac Anderson with the bases loaded in the third inning to bring home the first Rawhide run and Daulton Varsho followed by drawing a walk to bring home another run.
The lone big swing of the bat for Visalia came from the next batter, as Drew Ellis then cleared the bases with a two-strike double that one-hopped up against the warning track in left-center. At the time, it gave the Rawhide a 5-1 win.
Rawhide starter Connor Grey lasted four innings and allowed four runs, two earned, on five hits with five strikeouts. He allowed a solo homer to Nick Yarnall in the bottom of the third and was chased after a two-out two-run rally in the fourth that was started by an error by Raymel Flores on a popup to shallow right. Rylan Bannon and Donovan Casey followed the error with doubles and, at the time, the Quakes trailed 5-4.
Omar Estevez tied the game with a solo homer off of Tommy Eveld in the bottom of the eighth. But Eveld (W, 1-0) survived a Camden Duzenack throwing error and a single by Casey by striking gout both Yarnall and Logan Landon to end the inning.
Jason Richman (L, 1-3) pitched two perfect innings of relief before allowing the eventual winning run to reach in the bottom of the ninth. He was given the loss for his second consecutive outing.
Ellis extended his hitting streak to eight games, tying Marcus Wilson for the best mark by a Rawhide hitter this year, and also singled up the middle to lead off the sixth to give him two hits on the night. Stephen Smith also added a pair of hits for the Rawhide.
Rancho Cucamonga starter Jordan Sheffield left after facing two batters in the third inning with an apparent injury. Logan Forsythe and Justin Turner were both on Major League rehab assignments with Rancho Cucamonga (16-20) and combined to have one hit in seven at bats as Forsythe doubled in the seventh and Turner walked.
Visalia continues the four-game series in Rancho Cucamonga tomorrow afternoon. The Rawhide will send RHP Bo Takahashi (3-2, 3.50) to the bump against RHP Andrew Sopko (2-2, 4.05) First pitch is at 2:05 PM and the live radio broadcast will be available on rawhidebaseball.com.
