Rawhide Fall Short to Lake Elsinore 7-6

VISALIA, CA-Rawhide rallied back in the eighth inning but fell short by one run to drop the three-game series. Lake Elsinore scored early with a run in the first inning. Luis Campusano hit a sacrifice fly to right field, which scored Xavier Edwards . In the third, Allen Córdoba drove in Eguy Rosario off an RBI-single to center field to make it 2-1.
Renae Martinez drove in the first run for Visalia in the bottom of the fourth. He singled to center field and Jose Herrera scored from second. The one-run ballgame did not last long. The Storm scored three in the fifth inning. Gabriel Arias and Jalen Washington had RBI singles and Washington scored off a wild pitch by Rawhide starter Bryan Valdez .
Entering the bottom of the eighth, Rawhide trailed 7-2. Eduardo Diaz doubled to centerfield to score Luis Alejandro Basabe . Martinez drove in Diaz with a double of his own. Camden Duzenack hit a two-run opposite field home run to make it a one-run game.
Despite the comeback in the eighth, the Rawhide fell short one run. Final score is 7-6. Valdez is the losing pitcher and Gabe Mosser earns his first win for the Lake Elsinore Storm.
Rawhide have an off day tomorrow but will start a six-game road trip on Wednesday. They play three-games at Inland Empire and another three in Lake Elsinore.
