VISALIA, CA- Shumpei Yoshikawa earns his second win of his career. He pitched a career-high six innings and only gave up one run on three hits and one walk. The Rawhide scored first for the first time this series. In the bottom of the third L.T. Tolbert hit a two-run blast, which is his first home run as a member of the Rawhide.

In the bottom of the fourth, the Rawhide scored their final run of the game off an errant throw by Cal Raleigh . The Modesto Nuts scored their lone run of the game in the fifth inning when Eugene Helder singled to left field and Jake Scheiner scored.

The Nuts had bases loaded twice late in the game with one out, but were unable to score another run. West Tunnell earned his 10th save of the season, which is good enough to be tied for first in the California League.
