LISTEN: Highlights from Tuesday's 4-3 Victory
The Whitecaps jumped on talented Loons starter Josiah Gray early, as Parker Meadows delivered a bunt single to score Reece Hampton, while Sam McMillan brought home another with an RBI-single to increase the 'Caps lead to 2-0 after three innings. In the fifth, the Loons responded as Dillon Paulson's run-scoring double put the Loons on the scoreboard, and Chris Roller tied the game with an RBI-single. West Michigan wasted no time answering back, as Jose King plated McMillan with a single to reclaim a 3-2 lead, and Hampton singled to add an important insurance run and a 4-2 advantage. Romer Cuadrado's infield single scored Jacob Amaya in the eighth before reliever Angel De Jesus worked out of additional trouble to end the threat.
