Granville, W.Va. - The West Virginia Black Bears today announced the promotion of Morgantown native Leighann Sainato to Ticket Operations and Public Relations Manager.
"We're happy to have Leighann join our team in a full-time capacity," said Black Bears General Manager, Matt Drayer. "She has a lot of experience which the Black Bears and our community will benefit from in the future, and we look forward to continuing our success with Leighann on board."
In her expanded role, she will handle all media and public relations, as well as many of the marketing aspects of the Black Bears' front office. Additionally, she will continue to oversee ticket operations and the community relations department, organizing non-game day events and working closely with local community outreach programs.
Sainato was recently promoted from Ticket Office Manager following the departure of Jackie Riggleman to the Bradenton Marauders. A current student in the Sport Management Master's program at West Virginia University, Sainato previously graduated from WVU College of Law and held various positions within the university's athletic department, most recently as a student assistant in Athletic Communications. She joined the Black Bears in 2017 as the community relations intern, a position she held until January of this year when she was hired to manage the ticket office.
The West Virginia Black Bears begin their season on June 14th against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. Individual game tickets are on sale May 1. For a complete list of promotional dates or to purchase associated ticket packs or season tickets, please call the ticket office at (304) 293-7653 or visit www.westvirginiablackbears.com.
