Whitecaps Tickets on Sale

COMSTOCK PARK, MI -Individual tickets for all 2013 Whitecaps games go on sale Tuesday, January 29 at 10 a.m.

The Whitecaps 20th season begins on Thursday, April 4 against the Dayton Dragons. Ticket prices are $14.00 for premium box seats, $12.00 for box seats, $10.50 for reserved seats and $6.00 for McCain Foods lawn seats. This will also be the fans' first chance to get tickets for the newest seating addition to Fifth Third Ballpark, the 4Topps tables. These new tables, located behind home plate, will seat four and will have full wait service. Each table of four sells for $80.

The Whitecaps have been working hard this offseason to put together another exceptional promotional schedule, which includes several popular promotions returning as well as new promotions that fans are sure to enjoy. Weekly promotions include:

Sunday - Family Day/Kids Eat Free presented by Helen DeVos Children's Hospital (play catch and get autographs from the team on the field before the game, and the first 1,000 kids eat free); Kids Run The Bases presented by Bob Evans (after the game all kids can run the bases).

Monday - All Faiths Night presented by JQ99 (bring a church or community bulletin to the box office and get half off box or reserved seats).

Tuesday - Silver Sluggers (half price box and reserved seats for all seniors 50 years old and better). The popular Dime Hot Dog nights are back on three Tuesdays: May 28, July 30 and August 6.

Wednesday - Family Fare Fireworks will light up the sky following every Wednesday game starting June 5.

Thursday -Every Thursday will be an Altogas Thrifty Thursday (enjoy concessions specials, including $1.00 hot dogs, $2.00 20-oz beer, $2.00 22-oz soft drinks and $2.00 soft pretzels).

Friday - There will be seven Tiger Fridays (Tigers giveaways and appearances by a former Detroit Tiger player every Friday beginning June 7) this season. The 2013 Tiger Friday line-up features Lou Whitaker and Darrell Evans. The rest of the Tiger Friday lineup can be seen by visiting www.whitecapsbaseball.com.

Saturday - Family Fare Fireworks (post-game every Saturday beginning May 18).

Other highly-anticipated dates on the 2013 schedule include Opening Day with 20th season baseball hats for the first 1,500 fans presented by Fifth Third Bank (April 4); Dollar Days with $1.00 ticket and concession specials from Friday, April 19 through Wednesday April 24, Avisail Garcia bobblehead giveaway (May 17), Military Appreciation Day with a camoflage baseball giveaway presented by Bates Footwear (May 18), and Team Ghost Riders, monkeys riding dogs herding sheep, (August 24).

The Whitecaps will be celebrating the 20th season throughout the 2013 campaign. As part of the year-long celebration there will be a celebration of the five champion seasons; June 5 (1996 Championship), June 28 (1998 Championship), July 13 (2004 Championship), August 14 (2006 Championship) and August 24 (2007 Championship).

Popular theme nights on which Whitecaps players will wear special jerseys include Star Wars Night (June 29), Breast Cancer Awareness Day (June 30), Ronald McDonald Night (July 24) and Van Andel Institute Community for a Cure Night (July 31).

Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.whitecapsbaseball.com, by calling the Whitecaps front office at 616-784-4131, or in person at the Fifth Third Ballpark box office. The box office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and once the season starts will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday (as well as during games).
