Whitecaps to host day-night doubleheader on Saturday, June 15

April 18, 2013

COMSTOCK PARK, MI - The West Michigan Whitecaps have rescheduled last Tuesday's rained out game against the Fort Wayne TinCaps for Saturday, June 15, as part of a day-night doubleheader.

The doubleheader games will be played at noon (gates open at 11 a.m.) and at the regularly-scheduled time of 7 p.m. (gates open at 5 p.m.) on June 15, and will require separate tickets for each game. Both games will be nine innings in length.

Fans who had tickets to the April 9 rainout may exchange those tickets for any game during the 2013 season; they are not required to use their rain checks on June 15. Those that have tickets to the regularly-scheduled 7 p.m. game on June 15 will use those for the 7 p.m. game; those wishing to attend the noon game must purchase a separate ticket for the early game. The ballpark will be cleared after the first game, and gates for the second game will open at 5 p.m.

The Whitecaps' next homestand begins tomorrow at 6:35 p.m. against the South Bend Silver Hawks. The teams play on Saturday and Sunday, April 20 and 21, at 1 p.m., then the Lake County Captains come to town for a three-game set against the Whitecaps starting on Monday, April 22 (game times at 6:35 Monday and noon on Tuesday and Wednesday).

Individual, season and group tickets are on sale now for all games, including the newly-added June 15 noon game, and can be purchased by calling the Whitecaps front office at 616-784-4131, by visiting www.whitecapsbaseball.com, or in person at the Fifth Third Ballpark ticket office (open Monday-Friday from 10 to 6 p.m.).
