Tulsa, OK – Stevie Berman ninth inning double scored Devin Mann from first base to give the Tulsa Drillers a 4-3 walk-off victory on Friday.

Wichita starter Cole Sands pitched five and two third innings, allowed two runs, one earned on four hits and delivered a season high nine strikeouts.

Gilberto Celestino led the Wind Surge offense with three hits and an RBI. The Surge took the lead in the sixth inning scoring a pair of runs on a bases loaded walk from Peter Mooney a RBI single from Celestino. Tulsa scored an unearned run in the seventh inning to tie the game.

Justin Hagenman earned the win pitching an inning and a third. In the ninth Tulsa drew a two out walk and then scored on the game ending Berman double. Hector Lujan suffered the loss.

Wichita's offense left eleven men on base and finished the game two for eleven with runners in scoring position. The Surge committed a season high three errors.

NOTES- The Wind Surge placed pitcher Josh Mitchell on the 7-day injured list. Pitcher Rob Whalen was promoted from Wichita to Class AAA St. Paul. Wichita drops to 4-4 in one run games.

The Wind Surge will return to Riverfront Stadium after the upcoming road trip from May 25th-30th, hosting the Springfield Cardinals, Double-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals.
