Dash Fall 15-4 in Game Five Against Bowling Green

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (September 11, 2021) — The Winston-Salem Dash fell 15-4 against the Bowling Green Hot Rods on Saturday night in game five of a six-game series.

The Hot Rods revved their engines in the top of the first as Brett Wisely took the first pitch of the game over the wall in center field. Later, with two runners on, Hill Alexander hit a three-run homer to put the Hot Rods in front 4-0.

Bowling Green put another two on the board in the third as Jordan Qsar hit a two-run bomb to push the Hot Rods ahead 6-0.

Jose Rodriguez answered in the home third with a solo blast, marking his fifth on the season.

The Hot Rods marched to an 8-1 lead in the fourth on a two-run round-tripper from Brett Wisely. Bowling Green plated another pair in the sixth on a single and a sacrifice fly.

Another Bowling Green three-spot in the seventh inning was answered by a Dash offensive burst in the home seventh. Samir Dueñez walked and scored on a throwing error by third baseman Gionti Turner. Travis Moniot crossed home on a sacrifice fly from Luis Mieses.

The Dash plated one more in the eighth as Luis Curbelo walked and scored on a single from Samir Dueñez.

Winston-Salem fell 15-4. Starter Taj Bradley took the win for Bowling Green, while Kevin Folman took a loss for the Dash.
