WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (March 4, 2019) - On the heels of Bryce Harper's 13-year, $330 million contract with the Philadelphia Phillies, the Winston-Salem Dash are proud to announce that their team mascot BOLT has signed a historic 14-year extension. The deal was for an undisclosed amount and runs through 2032, marking the longest deal in baseball history.
The contract surpasses Harper's current deal with the Phillies and the one Giancarlo Stanton inked with the Miami Marlins for 13 years and $325 million in 2014.

To celebrate this monumental signing, the Dash are offering $14 advanced sale tickets that include a free Dash hat and hot dog and soda voucher for their Sunday, April 14th game. The total ticket value of $42 is available at the $14 price point by calling 336-714-6877 before March 14.
When asked to comment, BOLT gave two thumbs up and shook his belly. Wally the Warthog, BOLT's agent and the organization's former mascot, shared his enthusiasm as the two celebrated by splitting 14 hot dogs.
"BOLT is a cornerstone of this organization, and we knew we needed to lock him up long-term with this historic deal," said Dash President C.J. Johnson. We are confident that BOLT will be able to maintain his Hall of Fame level performance throughout this contract."
