WILMINGTON, Del. (June 30, 2018) - Gavin Sheets stroked a go-ahead RBI single and Micker Adolfo blasted a two-run home run in the 10th inning to lead the Dash to a 6-3 win in 10 innings over Wilmington on Saturday at Frawley Stadium.
With the game tied at three and Laz Rivera at second base with two outs, Sheets ripped a 2-2 pitch from Wilmington (5-4, 36-43) reliever Justin Camp (0-1) into right field to give Winston-Salem (7-3, 48-32) the lead. Adolfo, the very next batter, crushed a 2-2 offering from Camp over the left-field fence to extend the Dash lead.

Sheets went 3-for-5 with a double to extend his hitting streak to 14 games and record his fifth consecutive multi-hit game.
Tyler Johnson (1-0) struck out four in two scoreless innings of relief to earn his first High-A win, striking out the side in order in the bottom of the tenth to end the game.
Dash right-hander Blake Battenfield and Blue Rocks southpaw Daniel Tillo traded zeroes through the first four innings, but the Dash offense broke through in the fifth. After Adolfo and Ti'Quan Forbes drew back-to-back walks to start the inning, they both scored on an RBI single from Mitch Roman. He moved to third on a single from Luis González and later crossed the plate on a passed ball to give Winston-Salem a 3-0 lead.
Gonzalez finished the night 4-for-5, establishing a new career-high for hits in a game.
Wilmington got on the board in the bottom of the fifth inning, when Nick Heath scored from second on an RBI single from Angelo Castellano.
The Blue Rocks tied the game in the sixth. After Vance Vizcaino reached on an error to start the inning, D.J. Burt tripled to cut the Dash lead to one. Then, Gabriel Cancel knotted the score at three with a sacrifice fly.
Kyle Kubat tossed two scoreless innings in relief to keep the game tied, and Johnson followed with a perfect ninth inning to set the stage for the Dash's three-run 10th inning.
Winston-Salem continues its series with Wilmington on Sunday, when Dash left-hander Tanner Banks (7-2, 2.70 ERA) toes the rubber against Blue Rocks right-hander Jace Vines (2-8, 5.61 ERA). Pregame coverage begins at 1:20 p.m., and fans can catch all of the action on wsdash.com/broadcast and the TuneIn Radio App.
