GRAND CHUTE, WI - This season's Christmas in July at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium on Saturday, July 25 is going to be the first of its kind. The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are getting some special jerseys and will be known as the North Pole Reindeer when they host the Clinton LumberKings at 6:35pm during their Yuletide celebration sponsored by Feldco.
The jerseys are white with red sleeves and red trim around the neck. There are large red numbers with green trim on the back. A red-nosed reindeer wearing a red baseball cap and holding a baseball bat is on the front of the jersey. The lettering on the front of the jersey reads North Pole Reindeer.
"The minor league baseball fan experience is all about fun. Hartwell Studio Works is excited to offer the North Pole Reindeer as a means of enhancing that experience on a popular event night, helping fans to make new memories with family and friends," said John Hartwell, owner and designer of Hartwell Studio Works. "We're thrilled to partner with the Timber Rattlers as the first team to bring the North Pole Reindeer to life."
The jerseys will be available in a silent auction during the game on July 25. The proceeds from the auction will go to the Boys and Girls Club of the Fox Valley.
The first 500 children age 12 or under to attend the game will receive a reindeer Webkinz from Feldco.
Everyone is invited to enjoy a festive Christmas-themed Fireworks display courtesy of FOX 11 after the game.
