September 12, 2012: The Rattlers beat Fort Wayne 3–2 in ten innings at home in Game One of the Midwest League Championship Series. Wisconsin took the lead in the first inning when Brandon Macias scored from second on a wild pitch. Fort Wayne tied the game with an unearned run in the top of the third inning off Jacob Barnes. The Rattlers went back in front with an RBI double by Rafael Neda in the bottom of the fourth. The TinCaps had runners on first and second with no outs in the top of the seventh and the Rattlers almost turned a 5–4–3 triple play but the throw to first was wild to allow Austin Hedges to reach. Duanel Jones followed with an RBI triple to tie the game. Brent Suter took over for Barnes after the seventh inning and pitched three scorelees innings to keep the game tied. In the bottom of the tenth, Neda singled off Luis De La Cruz to start the frame and was bunted to second. An intentional walk, a grounder, and an intentional walk loaded the bases with two outs and Nick Ramirez coming to the plate. De La Cruz uncorked a wild pitch and Neda scrambled home to score the winning run for a 1–0 lead in the Championship Series.
