GRAND CHUTE, WI – The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers made Minor League Baseball’s list of the top teams in licensed merchandise sold in 2019. MiLB released their list of the top 25 teams in licensed merchandise sales on Monday and Wisconsin was the smallest market to be on the list.

Minor League Baseball tallies the sales of licensed merchandise from January 1 through December 31 every year. After making their count, they release an alphabetical list of the top 25 teams in that category. The list includes teams from all levels of MiLB.

“We are extremely proud to be in the top 25 in Minor League Baseball merchandise sales as it speaks to the popularity of our brand and the creativity of our staff. Timber Rattlers merchandise has always been a great seller nationally, but we saw merchandise sales soar in 2019 with the help of our additional ‘one-off’ brands like the Udder Tuggers, Brats and Los Cascabeles,” said Timber Rattlers president Rob Zerjav. “Our Director of Merchandise, Jay Grusznski, deserves a great deal of credit as there is a lot of behind the scenes work that needs to take place from merchandise design to proper order placement to order fulfillment. It was a very busy year and Jay did a great job keeping us ahead of the game.”

This was the eighteenth time the team has made the list since Appleton Professional Baseball became the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in 1995.

The full Top 25 List from MiLB: Albuquerque Isotopes, Amarillo Sod Poodles, Charlotte, Knights, Columbus Clippers, Corpus Christi Hooks, Dayton Dragons, Durham Bulls, El Paso Chihuahuas, Fayetteville Woodpeckers, Fresno Grizzlies, Hartford Yard Goats, Las Vegas Aviators, Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Louisville Bats, Nashville Sounds, Pawtucket Red Sox, Portland Sea Dogs, Richmond Flying Squirrels, Rochester Red Wings, Sacramento River Cats, Salt Lake Bees, Tacoma Rainiers, Toledo Mud Hens, Trenton Thunder, and Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

The Dayton Dragons were the only other Midwest League team to make the list. Wisconsin, Dayton, and Fayetteville were the only three teams below the Double-A level of Minor League Baseball to reach the top 25 in merchandise sales in 2019.
