HARTFORD, CT (March 6, 2017) - Dunkin' Donuts, Connecticut's all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, is proud to announce they are the official sponsor of the Hartford Yard Goats community program, the Dunkin' Dugout. The Dunkin' Dugout is a special seating section in Dunkin' Donuts Park, designated to host local non-profit and charitable organizations serving children. The section in left field is set apart by the bright orange seats (the rest of the seats in Dunkin' Donuts Park are Yard Goats blue), and branded with a Dunkin' Dugout logoed signage.
The Dunkin' Dugout program provides selected organizations the opportunity to attend a Yard Goats home game and be recognized during the game on the 40x80 videoboard. Each community group will receive 33 tickets to a designated home game in the 2017 season, plus a commemorative Dunkin' Dugout baseball cap for each attendee. In addition to being recognized during the game, groups will also have a photo opportunity on the field prior to the game.
"We are delighted to introduce the Dunkin' Dugout as one of our first community programs for local non-profit and charitable organizations. It is very rewarding to know that this section of the ballpark will be dedicated to those who work with our children and youth, and we thank our naming rights partner Dunkin' Donuts for this opportunity," Hartford Yard Goats General Manager Tim Restall said.
Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in Connecticut are owned and operated by franchisees who are committed to serving the neighborhoods where they live and work. The Dunkin' Dugout program is yet another way to show their support for the local community. "Dunkin' Donuts is proud to support the Dunkin' Dugout program, offering Yard Goats tickets to deserving organizations in Connecticut," said Scott Fanning, Dunkin' Donuts franchisee. "Everyone is excited about Yard Goats baseball in Hartford and wants to share in the fun. This is a way for us to celebrate these organizations and thank them for the great work they do for the local community."
Applications for the Yard Goats 2017 season are now being accepted from Connecticut-based non-profit and charitable organizations serving children.
