Akron, Ohio - Akron DH Andrew Calica hit a two-run triple with two outs in the seventh inning, proving to be the game-winning RBI, as the Akron RubberDucks (67-51) beat the Portland Sea Dogs, 5-2 on Saturday night at Canal Park. The two teams play a rubber-game of their three-game set on Sunday afternoon.

Portland built an early 2-0 lead against starter Tristan McKenzie (ND). Luke Tendler knocked home a two-out run in the first with a single and Johnny Bladel produced a run-scoring groundout in the fifth.
Teddy Stankiewicz (7-10) fired seven strong innings but took the loss for Portland. Stankiewicz yielded all three runs in the seventh inning. Mark Mathias put Akron on the board with an RBI double. Calica's triple went over the head of CF Bladel.
Akron added two runs in the eighth inning on a two-run single from Jodd Carter off Harrison Cooney.
Jordan Milbrath (2-3) worked 2+ innings to earn the win. Rob Kaminsky recorded the final three outs for his second save of the year.
Chad De La Guerra, Jeremy Rivera, and Tendler each had two hits for Portland. The Sea Dogs are 2-3 on the trip.
The Sea Dogs and Akron RubberDucks (Indians affiliate) meet for the final time on Sunday afternoon with a 2:05 start at Canal Park. LHP Matt Kent (7-8, 3.58) makes his 19th start of the season.
