First National Bank 2015 Triple-A All-Star Game Broadcast Details Announced
Triple-A Baseball announced today that the 28th annual Triple-A All-Star Game will be televised live on MLB Network on Wednesday, July 15 at 7 p.m. CST. The announcing team of Paul Severino, Bill Ripken, John Manuel, and Sam Ryan will bring the action to viewers nationwide. The game will be available to MiLB.TV subscribers live online at MiLB.com and on most Apple devices via the MiLB First Pitch app, and will also be available for live, authenticated streaming via MLB.com At Bat and MLBNetwork.com. The American Forces Network will also showcase the event, bringing MLB Network's telecast of the Triple-A All-Star Game to the U.S. Armed Forces stationed outside the contiguous United States on U.S. military installations and aboard U.S. Navy ships at sea.
The First National Bank 2015 Triple-A All-Star Game, presented by Gildan, will take place at Werner Park in Omaha, Nebraska. The game has been telecast nationally for most of its 28-year history, including every season since 1995, and 2015 will mark the sixth time the Triple-A All-Star Game has aired on MLB Network since 2010.
Returning for a fourth-straight year handling play-by-play duties on the telecast will be Paul Severino, who regularly hosts the Emmy Award-winning "MLB Tonight". For the past four years, Severino provided play-by-play for Arizona Fall League game telecasts on MLB Network, including the Rising Stars Games and Championship Games.
12-year Major League infielder Bill Ripken will serve as an analyst for the Triple-A All-Star Game. Ripken's MLB playing career began with Baltimore in 1987 under the direction of his father, Cal Ripken, Sr., and alongside his brother Cal Ripken, Jr., marking the first and only time in Major League history that a father simultaneously managed two of his sons. In addition to the Orioles, Ripken also played for Texas, Cleveland, and Detroit. He is also a veteran of over 200 games at the Triple-A level with Rochester, Buffalo, and Toledo. He currently appears across MLB Network's programming as a studio analyst.
Joining Severino and Ripken in the booth will be John Manuel, the Editor-in-Chief of Baseball America, who has previously appeared on the 2014 and 2009 Triple-A All-Star Game telecasts. Manuel covers college baseball, minor league prospects and the draft, and has also served as a part-time color analyst for Durham Bulls broadcasts.
Returning to serve as field reporter for her fourth Triple-A All-Star Game telecast is the Emmy Award-winning Sam Ryan. The MLB Network studio host and reporter frequently appears on programming including "MLB Network Showcase" game telecasts and the MLB Network's highlights show of record, "Quick Pitch."
Mark Nasser, play-by-play voice of the Omaha Storm Chasers, along with Pete Michaud from the Norfolk Tides, will call the action for this year's broadcast on the Triple-A All-Star Game Radio Network. Nasser is in his 15th season as Omaha's radio broadcaster and was named one of the Top Ten broadcasters in Minor League Baseball by Baseball America. Michaud has been behind the mic for the Tides since 2007 and is a two-time recipient of the Hampton Roads' Most Outstanding Sports Broadcaster Award, presented by the Chesapeake Athletic Club. Nasser and Michaud will both be broadcasting the first Triple-A All-Star Games of their careers.
