The Baysox open the season at home Thursday, April 5 against the Harrisburg Senators in a game starting at 7:05 p.m. The team will cram a ton of fun into the seven game home stand. Here is a look at what is going on around the stadium while the Baysox take care of business on the field:
Thursday, April 5, 7:05 p.m. - Baysox Opening Day, Magnet Schedule Giveaway - The first 5,000 fans receive a free Baysox 2012 magnet schedule. Tailgate Event - Fans can watch batting practice, enjoy live music and partake in $2 draft beer specials in the Bud Light picnic pavilion from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Friday, April 6, 7:05 p.m. - Dr. Seuss Tribute, Bookswap, Fireworks - Celebrate the famous children's author with the Baysox and bring a book to participate in the bookswap. After the game, the Baysox light up the skies with a fireworks extravaganza.
Saturday, April 7, 2:05 p.m. - Kids' Capital Spring Fling featuring pre-game Spring Egg Hunt - Join Louie for the Kids Capital Spring Fling at Prince George's Stadium, featuring the annual Spring Egg Hunt! Registration for the Spring Egg Hunt begins at noon, and any kid ages 12 or younger with a ticket for the game may register. The hunt begins at 12:15 p.m. and rides and games in Louie's Kids Park are free from noon to 1 p.m. Members of Louie's Kids Club can order discounted tickets and receive other perks. Tuesday, April 10, 7:05 p.m. - Tailgate Tuesday - Fans can watch batting practice, enjoy live music and partake in $2 draft beer specials in the Bud Light picnic pavilion from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Wednesday, April 11, 11:05 a.m. - Baseball in Education Day - Kids from local schools come out to enjoy a baseball game at Prince George's Stadium.
