Drive, Braves Postponed Thursday Night

Thursday night's regularly scheduled match-up between the Drive and visiting Rome Braves succumbed to Mother Nature. Inclement weather plagued the Upstate region, delaying the official start time for more than an hour and a half before the game was finally postponed.

The teams will play a doubleheader on Friday, beginning at 5:05 PM. Both contests of the double-dip will be seven-inning affairs. Following the second game of the twinbill, fans will be treated to fantastic fireworks display!

Those fans holding a ticket to tonight's game may exchange it at the Fluor Field Box Office for any remaining 2012 regular season home game.

The Drive will send left-hander Henry Owens (8-2, 5.52 ERA) in game one, while left-hander Mickey Pena (5-4, 2.61 ERA) toes the rubber in the nightcap. Rome will counter with left-hander Alex Wood (0-0, 0.00 ERA) in the first game, and right-hander Greg Ross (1-6, 5.52 ERA) in the second.
