Lakeland to Host 1st Game of F.S.L. Playoffs

The Lakeland Flying Tigers will host the Dunedin Blue Jays on Tuesday, September 4 in game one of the best-of-three North Division Championships. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and the gates to Marchant Stadium will open at 5:30 p.m. Game 2 will be played at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium in Dunedin on Wednesday, September 5 at 6:30 p.m. Game 3 if necessary would also be played in Dunedin on Thursday, September 6 at 6:30 p.m.

The Flying Tigers secured their first playoff spot since 2005 by defeating the Tampa Yankees on Saturday night coupled with the Clearwater Threshers loss to Dunedin. The Flying Tigers can clinch the Second Half North Division Championship by defeating Tampa on Sunday or a loss by Dunedin. Otherwise the Flying Tigers will make the playoffs as the wild card team.

Playoff tickets are currently on sale at LakelandFlyingTigers.com or by calling (863) 686-8075. The Marchant Stadium ticket office will be open beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4. Box seats are $6 and reserved seats are $5 and seniors 55 and over and children 14 and under receive a $1.00 discount. Parking is FREE.
