Baysox Drop Second Straight Head to Game Five

Akron, OH - The Bowie Baysox gave up two unearned runs and dropped their second straight game to the Akron Aeros 2-1 on Saturday night and are now headed to a game five.

The Aeros struck first in the bottom of the fourth inning. Jordan Henry led off with a bunt single and went to second on a throwing error. Tyler Holt then bunted him over to third. Lonnie Chisenhall followed with an RBI single to give the Aeros a 1-0 lead.

In the sixth inning, the Baysox got on the board. Antoan Richardson led off with a bunt single and went to second on a ground out by Buck Britton. Then Ty Kelly evened up the game with an RBI double off the wall in left to make the score 1-1.

The Aeros took the lead back in the bottom of the seventh inning. Chun Chen drew a lead off walk and went to second on a sacrifice bunt that Ryan Rohlinger reached on a throwing error. Adam Abrham bunted both runners over and then Roberto Perez gave the Aeros the lead with a sacrifice fly to make the score 2-1.

Trey Haley picked up the win going 1.2 scoreless innings in relief while striking out three.

Jake Pettit got the loss going 6.1 innings and allowing two unearned runs on four hits with six strikeouts while walking two.

The Baysox will send RHP Tim Bascom to the mound tomorrow night for game five.
