Seven Mavericks' Non-Conference Games to be played in March/April

OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha Storm Chasers and University of Nebraska Omaha have joined together to make Werner Park the home for seven premier non-conference home games during the Mavericks' 2013 baseball season.

"We are excited about expanding our partnership with UNO athletics," said Martie Cordaro, the Omaha Storm Chasers President & General Manager. "We believe Mavericks baseball will become a successful Division I college baseball program and look forward to being a part of the rising Maverick athletic department."

"Werner Park is an outstanding venue for baseball and a great place to showcase our team against some very good Division I competition," said Trev Alberts, Director of Athletics. "Our partnership with the Storm Chasers will put Maverick baseball on an outstanding stage for our fans to enjoy."

The Mavericks open the seven-game slate on Friday, March 22 at 2 p.m. against Northern Colorado. The three-game series continues on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24 at 1 p.m. each day.

Other games include a matchup with Creighton on Saturday, March 30 at 1 p.m.; a meeting with Air Force on Tuesday, April 9 at 6 p.m.; a showdown with Kansas State on Wednesday, April 10 at 6 p.m.; and a clash with Iowa on Tuesday, April 16 at 2 p.m.

Fans who attend the April 16 game against the Hawkeyes can exchange their ticket to the game for a grass berm seat for the Storm Chasers' game later that night against the Albuquerque Isotopes at 7:05 p.m.

Tickets will be available for purchase in a seven-game package or individually.
