Sign-Up Now for iRUNpigs 5K
Sign-ups are underway for the second annual iRUNpigs 5K presented by East Penn Foot & Ankle along with a 1.5-mile walk and Piglet Run for children 12 and under on Sunday, September 15, 2013, at Coca-Cola Park with 100% of the race proceeds benefitting IronPigs Charities.
The race course will take participants throughout the Lehigh Valley before concluding on-field at Coca-Cola Park. Over 500 runners and walkers took part in last year's inaugural event.
The 5K will kick off the day's events, beginning at 9 a.m. The Piglet Run will follow at 9:30 a.m. while the 1.5-mile walk will begin at 9:45 a.m.
Fans can sign-up at ironpigsbaseball.com or by calling (610) 841-PIGS (7447). There is no additional fee for online registration.
2013 participants receive a commemorative tech t-shirt, chip timing featuring results via text message as you finish, pre-race and post-race live entertainment and a free entry in an IronPigs team memorabilia raffle. There will also be prizes for overall male and female winners among age groups.
In addition to the 5K, walk and Piglet Run are also being offered on race day. The cost is $28 for the 5K, $25 for the Walk and $10 for the Piglet Run (12 & Under).
Pre-registration ends on September 10th at Midnight. Add $5 to register after this date. Any registration after September 10th will need to be done in person at Coca-Cola Park during packet pickup or on the day of the event. There will be no online registration after September 10th.
100% of the proceeds benefit IronPigs Charities, a non-profit organization striving to provide educational and recreational opportunities for children in the Greater Lehigh Valley area.
East Penn Foot & Ankle Associates founder Dr. Adam Teichman is a board certified podiatric physician and surgeon, expert at treating pediatric, adolescent, and adult sports injuries of the foot and ankle. Dr Teichman was recently elected Chief Of Podiatric Surgery at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown.
