Connecticut Tigers Opening Day Today

Norwich, CT - Opening Day for the 2013 New York-Penn League and the Connecticut Tigers is today. The Connecticut Tigers open the season at home against the Lowell Spinners (Boston Red Sox affiliate) today, June 17 with first pitch at 7:05 p.m. Come out to celebrate the start of one of the best seasons yet at Dodd Stadium as we kick off the road to the 2013 New York-Penn All-Star Game held at Dodd Stadium on August 13. 

Opening Day is filled with promotions highlighted by a thrilling post game fireworks display. The first 4,000 fans that come through the gates will receive a CT Tigers Magnet Schedule sponsored by Dime Bank. 

Every Monday is "Kids Eat Free" day sponsored by US Foods and The Day. Each children's ticket (12 & under) will receive a voucher redeemable for a hot dog, bag of chips, bottle of water, and an apple. 

The Tigers will also hold Social Media Monday presented by XtraMart. Check out the Tigers Facebook and Twitter pages on gameday prior to every Monday home games for an exclusive deal. In addition, the Tigers will have a special guest appearance by former Boston Red Sox outfielder, Bernie Carbo.  

Season tickets for the 2013 season are on sale now, become a member of the Tiger family by reserving your season tickets at a significant savings off the walk-up price. The Connecticut Tigers are the NYPL affiliate of the Detroit Tigers and play a 76 game (38 home, 38 away) that opens on June 17 against the Lowell Spinners, affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. 2013 season tickets and tickets to the 2013 NYPL All-Star Game are now on sale!
