'Dads to Test OrdrIT Concessions App
Hickory, NC - The Hickory Crawdads will be test-driving an innovative, new concession technology over Labor Day Weekend when they implement the OrdrIT smartphone app for their 4-game series against the Delmarva Shorebirds at Crawdads Stadium. OrdrIT allows fans to order concessions from their smart phone, and have the order either delivered to their seat or picked up at a designated location at the stadium.
"Fans now won't have to miss a minute of the game," said Crawdads Director of Food and Beverage Teddy Ingraham. "We're excited to test this out and see if it will be a good fit for the Crawdads. We encourage fans to try it out over the home stand and give us their feedback."
Fans can download the app through either the iPhone or Android app stores. Once installed, they select the venue and choose their seat, before ordering from a wide variety of concession items including hotdogs, hamburgers, popcorn, candy and Pepsi products. The transaction is completed with a credit card payment, which allows fans to have their food delivered to their seat or easily picked up without waiting in line.
The Crawdads are the first team in the South Atlantic League to implement the OrdrIT app. It will be available for use during the 'Dads entire 4-game home stand August 30th - September 2nd.
