NORWICH, CT- The 2013 season turned out to be one of record setting success for the Connecticut Tigers. The organization set franchise attendance records at two consecutive home games to close out an all-star summer at Dodd Stadium.

On Wednesday August 28th as the Tigers took on the Hudson Valley Renegades (Rays affiliate), the previous franchise mark for regular season attendance in a single season was eclipsed. The previous mark was 62,317, set during the 2011 season.

Two nights later, on Friday August 30th the game between the Tigers and Lowell Spinners (Red Sox affiliate) saw the largest single crowd in Connecticut Tigers history, as 6,008 fans packed Dodd Stadium to see the final home game of the season. That night also saw the final season attendance numbers for the 2013 season become the new franchise record of 68,757.

2013 was a banner year at Dodd Stadium. In addition to an 18% increase in total attendance and 15% increase in average attendance during the regular season, the Connecticut Tigers were proud to host the 9th Annual New York-Penn League All-Star Game presented by US Foods. The 4,774 fans in attendance saw the American League defeat the National League in the bottom of the ninth inning in exciting fashion.

"We would like to thank all of the fans for coming out this season to support the Tigers," said Tigers Vice President/General Manager C.J. Knudsen. "2013 was certainly a season to remember at Dodd Stadium. We have truly appreciated the support we have received from the community since the day we arrived. We strive to return that support and be a valued member of the community for many years to come".

The Connecticut Tigers are the New York- Penn League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers and play a 76 game (38 home, 38 away) schedule that runs from mid June through early September. 2014 season tickets are now on sale! The front office and ticket office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and can be accessed in person or by calling 860-887-7962.
