2014 Express Fan Fest

Annual Event Returns to Dell Diamond March 22

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Round Rock Express will host its annual Fan Fest Saturday, March 22 at Dell Diamond from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The event is free of charge and open to the public.

Fan Fest gives fans a chance to get back into the baseball spirit by enjoying a Saturday full of family-friendly entertainment at the ballpark. Some of this year's activities include a scavenger hunt, behind-the-scenes tours, the Mustang Owners Club of Austin Car Show, and a hot dog eating contest! Fans will also get a chance to run the bases, hit in the batting cage, clock their fastball with speed pitch, and challenge the "Fun Zone" rock wall and inflatables. New to this year's event, there will be a Q & A Session between fans and team President Dave Fendrick, General Manager Chris Almendarez and broadcaster Mike Capps. In addition, Jack Allen's Kitchen will also be hosting a food tasting in the Intel Club where fans can enjoy some of the brand new items to be served this season at Dell Diamond.

Tickets for all Express games will be available for purchase during Fan Fest at the Dell Diamond ticket office and online at www.RoundRockExpress.com. While at the stadium, fans will have the opportunity to scope out the exact seat location they might like to select for their season tickets with packages including Full Season, Fireworks Plus, and Flex Plans. Sign up for Junior Sluggers Kids Club will also take place, plus great specials and giveaways.

On Thursday, April 3, the Express kick off their 15th annual season with an eight-game home stand that includes four-game series' with the Oklahoma City RedHawks (April 3-6) and Colorado Springs Sky Sox (April 7-10). 2014 Express Fan Fest (10 a.m. - 2 p.m., unless otherwise noted):

Batting Cages: Fans are invited to the Express' indoor batting cages to take a few cuts where the pros practice. The batting cages are located just beyond the large video board in left-center field. Fans are encouraged to bring their own bats and helmets.

Behind-The-Scenes Tours: The Express clubhouse and press box will be open to the public for self-guided tours.

Bullpen Pitching: Think you can throw some heat? Toe the rubber like the pros and toss a few pitches in the Express home bullpen!

Express Fun Zone: Portions of the Express Fun Zone will be open, including the rock climbing wall, speed pitch, sport court and the bounce house.

Fan Photos: There will be fan photo booths in the first base dugout and in the clubhouse!

Hot Dog Eating Contest: Open to all fans, the competition will take place on top of the home dugout at noon. Sign up in advance by clicking this link.

Individual Game Tickets: Tickets to individual games will be available for purchase during the fest at the Dell Diamond ticket office and online at www.RoundRockExpress.com.

Jack Allen's Kitchen Food Tasting: From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., fans are invited to the Intel Club sample some delicious items from Jack Allen's Kitchen that will be offered at Dell Diamond in 2014.

Junior Sluggers Kids Club Sign-Up: Young fans will be able to sign up for Junior Sluggers in the Railyard Team Store.

Kids Art Corner: Kids can visit the Dell Diamond Picnic Area for some artistic inspiration!

Run The Bases: Fans will get a chance to race around the base paths just like their favorite Express players.

Q & A Session w/ Dave Fendrick, Chris Almendarez, & Mike Capps: Everyone is invited to the Intel Club at 11 a.m. for a question and answer session with Express Team President Dave Fendrick, General Manager Chris Almendarez, and the voice of the Express Mike Capps. Fans will be able to submit their questions via social media.

Railyard Sale: The Railyard Team Store will have a sale with discounted merchandise, as well as raffles and a prize wheel.

Scavenger Hunt:  Fans will embark on an self-guided tour of various areas of Dell Diamond. Each location will have a clue that will give fans more information on a unique aspect of the stadium and a hint for the next stop on the tour. Any fan who successfully completes the scavenger hunt will receive a Be Our Guest Card, good for two reserved-seat tickets for a regular-season Sunday through Thursday game.

Shriner's Carnival: West parking lot, hours TBD.

Season Ticket Sales: Available season ticket seats will be tagged with flags highlighting Full-Season Seats and Fireworks Plus.
