Dickson Player Of The Week For Potomac

Woodbridge, VA --- Nationals' RHP Ian Dickson was awarded the Carolina League Pitcher of the Week for the week of August 11-17. Dickson is the fourth P-Nat to garner a Player of the Week award during the second half of the season after RHP Austin Voth took the honor two weeks in a row in July and Oscar Tejeda won it on the batting side.

Dickson's award came on the heels of his stellar performance on Saturday night against the Carolina. He tossed eight scoreless innings against the Mudcats surrendering just a solitary hit while striking out eight. Dickson collected his fourth win of the season after the strong eight-inning outing. His previous season high in innings this season prior to his Saturday start was six.

The Nationals swept the Mudcats over the weekend to grab a three game lead in the Northern Division in the second half over Lynchburg. Potomac is looking for their fourth consecutive half-season division title.
