Northwest League Announces 2015 Schedule

Pioneer League - Northwest League All-Star Game Set to Debut
August 26, 2014

The Tri-City Dust Devils and the Northwest League have released the schedule for the 2015 season. The Dust Devils will open on the road at Boise on Thursday, June 18th. Opening Night at Gesa Stadium will be Tuesday, June 23rd versus the Vancouver Canadians. Tri-City will end the season at home Sunday, September 6th versus Spokane. Other highlights include the annual July 3rd game and six Friday and six Saturday night games.

In addition, the Pioneer Baseball League and the Northwest League are pleased to jointly announce the scheduling of a 2015 PBL-NWL All-Star Game, hosted by the Spokane Indians in Spokane, Wash., at Avista Stadium on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. The All-Star Game will pit the top talent from the eight-team Pioneer League against the best players from the eight-team Northwest League. The historic game is the first-ever meeting between the two leagues in their long standing history of play in the region.

"The Northwest League and Pioneer League are two prominent short-season leagues in Minor League Baseball," said Pat O'Connor, President and CEO of Minor League Baseball. "To combine the two and showcase the talented individuals from 14 Major League farm systems is a win for everyone, especially the fans."

2015 will be the third season of the Northwest League's North-South division format. The Dust Devils are in the North division along with the Everett AquaSox, Spokane Indians, and Vancouver Canadians. The South division is comprised of the Boise Hawks, Eugene Emeralds, Hillsboro Hops, and Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. Teams play in-division opponents 12 times each and out-of-division opponents 10 times each.

Once again the Northwest League season will be divided into a first half, which ends July 26th, and a second half. The winners of each 38-game half in each division advance to the Northwest League playoffs.

Fans are once again encouraged to secure their seats early by purchasing a ticket package. Mini plans of 7, 14, or 21 games feature the biggest nights at Gesa Stadium, including all Friday and Saturday night games.

Ticket plans start at just $56, with full-season tickets available for as low as $259. Special ticket rates are available for groups of 20 or more. Season tickets, mini-plans, and group tickets can be purchased by contacting the Dust Devils front office at (509) 544-8789 or at the Gesa Stadium box office.
