Drive to Host Reedy River Rivalry Tailgate Party

Reedy River pregame event will feature fun for all ages
February 18, 2015

The highly anticipated Reedy River Rivalry, between the Clemson Tigers and the South Carolina Gamecocks, returns to Fluor Field on Saturday, February 28th, with gates opening at 12:30 PM. The game is not the only action going on around Fluor Field, however. Beginning at 10 AM, the Drive will host the Reedy River Rivalry Tailgate Party on Field Street. The event will last until 7 PM and will include food and fun for all ages.

"We are thrilled to be able to host the Reedy River Rivalry game again in 2015, as it is one of the premier rivalries in college baseball," commented Drive General Manager Eric Jarinko. "With that being said, we want this day to be more than just a baseball game. We know this tailgate fundraiser will be a great time for fans to interact with others and enjoy themselves before and after the game on Field Street."

The event is free to attend and will feature food and beverage from the Drive, live music, activities and games for kids, and representatives from both Clemson and South Carolina.

The Drive's partner charity for the Reedy River Rivalry Tailgate Party is Palmetto Children's Charity, which raises funding for children's charities in South Carolina. In addition, Jarden Process Solutions will be on hand to distribute information about the annual St. Paddys Day Dash and Bash in Downtown Greenville on March 14th.

"This will be a great event not just for the Drive organization, but for fans of South Carolina and Clemson as well," said Drive Co-Owner and Team President Craig Brown. "The atmosphere inside the ballpark is going to be electric because of the rivalry, and we're looking for Downtown Greenville and the West End to match that atmosphere. The outside of Fenway Park prior to a Red Sox game has a festive vibe to it, and that's what we want to accomplish with this event on Field Street."
