New additions join Mudcats front office

ZEBULON, NC - The Carolina Mudcats, the Class A Advanced affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, are proud to announce the addition of several new members to its restructured front office staff for the 2015 season.

The Mudcats previously announced that Joe Kremer had been named the club's new Vice President and General Manager. They also announced that Eric Gardner had been promoted to General Manager of Operations.

Joining Kremer and Gardner, as well as the current Mudcats' staff this season are Director of Ticketing Mike Link, Executive Producer Dave Maynard, Director of Fan Experience Beckie Reid, Ticket and Corporate Sales Executive Yogi Brewington, Concessions Manager John Thornton, Stadium Operations Mike Caminiti and Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations Greg Young.

Mike Link, originally from the Cleveland area, has worked in the sports world for nearly 15 years. The 2015 season is his 13th in Minor League Baseball. Link most recently worked for the Lake Erie Crushers of the Independent Frontier League and the Double-A Akron Aeros.

Dave Maynard joins the Mudcats as their executive producer and will manage the new "Mudzilla" video board. The new video board, measuring 82' wide, will be the largest in Minor League Baseball. Maynard graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2011 with a Bachelors Degree in Electronic Media & Broadcasting. He previously worked as Associate Producer for the Montgomery Biscuits and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Beckie Reid comes to the Mudcats after working the last two seasons as the Director of Promotions with the Lake Erie Crushers of the Independent Frontier League. Reid also played collegiate softball at John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH.

Yogi Brewington joins the club's Ticket and Corporate Sales staff. Brewington worked in both the Florida State League and Southern League before joining the Mudcats this season.

John Thornton enters his first season with the Mudcats and brings nearly a decade's worth of food and beverage industry experience with him. Thornton attended Pitt Community College in Greenville.

Matt Caminiti joins the Mudcats this season as part of the Five County Stadium Operations Team. Caminiti, a Boston native, worked in Quality Control for the Boston Red Sox last year.

Greg Young takes over as the new Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the 2015 season. Young is a 2005 graduate of Sacramento State University and spent last season as the senior video and broadcast assistant for the Tennessee Smokies.

The Mudcats are reintroducing mini plan ticket packages, including the "Muddy Unreal Deal" plan for the 2015, 25th Anniversary season. Season ticket plans and mini plans are available now, single game tickets go on sale March 16. 

"A Braves New World" comes to Five County Stadium in 2015 as the Mudcats begin their first year as an affiliate of the Atlanta Braves on April 9 at "The Family Place" versus the Salem Red Sox with first pitch scheduled for 7:00 p.m. All games can be heard on the Mudcats Radio Network and streamed live online at www.carolinamudcats.com.

The Carolina Mudcats are the Class A Advanced affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. The 2015 season is the first for the Mudcats as an affiliate of the Atlanta Braves and their fourth straight in the historic Carolina League.
