ValleyCats to hold Anthem Tryouts April 11

TROY, NY- The Tri-City ValleyCats 5th Annual National Anthem tryouts will take place on Saturday, April 11 from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm at Crossgates Mall in Guilderland. The top performance will have the opportunity to perform the National Anthem at a premium fireworks night at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, in front of an average of 5,000+ fans.

Registration will begin promptly at 9:30 am in the Apple court on the lower level. Auditions will take place from 10:00 am until 12:30pm, with performances being conducted on a first-come first-go basis.

Performers will be asked to sing or play the National Anthem in front of a panel of judges, who will be judging on the criteria of sound quality, stage presence, and song accuracy. Performances must be done a capella, and can be done individually or as a group.

The top four finalists will have the video of their performance placed on tcvalleycats.com for an online fan vote to determine the winner, who will perform at a premium fireworks night. All finalists will have the opportunity to perform at "The Joe" during the 2015 season.

The ValleyCats 2015 season runs from June 19 through September 7, with the home opener slated for Thursday, June 25 vs. the Staten Island Yankees. Season tickets, mini-plans, and group tickets are all on sale now. Individual game tickets are set to go on sale Monday, April 6.
