May 4th begins a full week of Triple-A Baseball in Downtown Fresno

The Grizzlies are home through Monday, May 11th with an array of promotions that cater to every type of fan

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno Grizzlies open a four-game home series against the El Paso Chihuahuas on Monday, May 4th at Chukchansi Park with 25-cent Hot Dog Night, courtesy of Eckrich and Armour. The home game will mark the first of eight straight home games in Downtown Fresno from May 4th through May 11th that features everything from $2 game tickets on Tuesday to Star Wars Theme Night on Friday, May 8th. The Grizzlies have been exceptional at home, compiling a 9-3 record and outscoring opponents 76-51.

Over 25 artists from throughout the Central Valley will display their works along the concourse for the Monday, May 4th home game thanks to the help of The Cultural Arts District. Local artists will display their work, with some even creating live works during the game. Fans can purchase the Must Catch Monday deal for the game, presented by The Fresno Bee, which offers fans two field level reserve seats, two Fresno Chaffee Zoo vouchers, two Blackbeard's Mini Golf vouchers, and two John's Incredible Pizza Company vouchers for only $20.

The following night features the $2 Tuesday promotion, allowing fans to purchase $2 Power Alley seats (day of game only), $2 Dos Equis drafts (21+), $2 Hot Dogs, and $2 Sodas. The night also marks the first opportunity to purchase a limited-edition $10 Los Grizzlies t-shirt to commemorate Cinco De Mayo.

Wednesday, May 6th offers one of the tastier promotions at the ballpark. If the Grizzlies win, all fans in attendance will be able to take their game ticket to Swiggs Restaurant and Bar for six free wings (dine-in only, valid through May 12). Don't fret; if the Grizzlies happen to lose, the club will give each fan in attendance a complimentary ticket voucher to the following Wednesday home game on May 27th vs. Memphis. A special ValleyPBS character appearance by Clifford the Big Red Dog allows fans the chance for unique photo opportunities.

Tecate Thursday on May 7th rounds out the series finale against the El Paso Chihuahuas. All 24-ounce tall cans of Tecate and Tecate Light are $2 through the end of the fifth inning, while $1 12-ounce sodas are available all game long. The evening entertainment will be themed around the ladies, with pampered activities taking place throughout the concourse.

All four home games (Monday through Thursday) against the Chihuahuas begin at 7:05 p.m., with gates opening at 6:05 p.m. to the general public. Tickets are available online at FresnoGrizzlies.com, at the Chukchansi Park Box Office, or by calling 559.320.TIXS Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. PT.

Full details for the four-game series against Tacoma at Chukchansi Park (Friday, May 8th through Monday, May 11th) will be announced this coming Monday. A few highlights are below:

  • Friday, May 8 - Star Wars Night, featuring pregame music from the Fresno Philharmonic. Postgame fireworks follow the final out of the game, courtesy of Fresno Madera Farm Credit
  • Saturday, May 9 - An animal theme reigns supreme with appearances by the famous ZOOperstars characters, as well as involvement from the Fresno Chaffee Zoo, who will have artifacts and staff members on hand to educate fans on the latest happenings at the local zoo.
  • Sunday, May 10 - Stay tuned to the Fresno Grizzlies social media for online deals for the 2:05 p.m. Mother's Day game. The game includes Kids Run The Bases (postgame), presented by Sun-Maid.
  • Monday, May 11 - The 12:05 p.m. game features Making The Grade, which is an exciting opportunity for school administrators to bring out their students to a day-time Triple-A Baseball game at Chukchansi Park.
