Passed Ball Drops Nuts 3-2

San Jose, CA. - The Modesto Nuts tied the game in the ninth but a passed ball brought in the walk-off run for the San Jose Giants in the Nuts' 3-2 loss at Municipal Stadium on Wednesday night.

Rosell Herrera delivered an infield RBI single to tie the game at two in the ninth against Giants' (14-26) closer Dan Slania (W, 1-2).

In the bottom of the ninth, Trent Daniel (L, 1-2) retired the first two hitters before giving up a single to Dylan Davis who moved to third on Ty Ross's double. With Brandon Bednar at the plate, Nuts' (20-20) catcher Wilfredo Rodriguez had a ball kick off his glove to allow the walk-off run to score.

Harrison Musgrave threw well for Modesto in his start. The southpaw tossed 5.2 innings allowing four hits and two runs with no walks and four strikeouts.

D.J. Snelten tossed a career-high 6.1 innings giving up just one run in his start for the Giants with four strikeouts and no walks.

The Nuts will try to avoid the sweep against the Giants on Thursday morning with Grahamm Wiest on the mound for the Nuts. Martin Agosta will toss for the Giants.
