Comeback Bid Falls Short
A late rally was not enough on Monday afternoon as the Tri-City Dust Devils lost to the Eugene Emeralds 5-4. Tri-City was able to tie the game in the top of the ninth inning, but Eugene answered back with a walk-off hit to end the contest. Nick Vilter had a huge day at the plate for the Dust Devils, collecting four hits and driving in two of the team's four runs.
The series in Eugene will wrap up on Tuesday evening. Right-hander Angel Meija will start for the Dust Devils.
