Drillers Home for 6 Games July 2-7

Tulsa to host Corpus Christi and San Antonio
June 30, 2015

The Tulsa Drillers will return to action at ONEOK Field on Thursday, July 2 following a three-day break for the Texas League All-Star Game. The Drillers will host the Corpus Christi Hooks (Houston Astros) and the San Antonio Missions (San Diego Padres) in a pair of three-game series that will run through Tuesday, July 7.

The slate of games will include three straight nights of Fireworks Shows July 2-4 in celebration of the Independence Day holiday.

All games in the homestand will begin at 7:05PM with the exception of the game on Sunday, July 5 which will start at 2:05PM. It will be the final afternoon game at ONEOK Field this season. 

In addition to the back-to-back-to-back Fireworks Spectaculars, the promotions calendar will include Hornsby Growth Charts and Kids Eat Free on Sunday, July 5, Dodger Blue Monday on July 6 and 2 Works For You $2 Tuesday on July 7.

Individual tickets for all the games, and any other game this season, are currently available for purchase online at TulsaDrillers.com, in person at the ONEOK Field Ticket Office (201 N. Elgin Avenue) or over the phone at (918) 744-5901.

 

FIRST-PLACE DRILLERS:  The Drillers entered the All-Star break in first place in the second-half standings of the Texas League North Division. Tulsa began the second half with four straight victories before dropping its final two games prior to the break.

WRAPPING UP JUNE: The Drillers finished the month of June with a .500 record, winning 14 games and losing 14. Starting pitcher Chris Anderson accounted for three of the victories, finishing the month with a perfect 3-0 record in five starts. Offensively, Lars Anderson enjoyed his best month of the season, hitting .290 with 3 home runs and a team high 14 runs batted in.

VERSUS THE OPPOSITION: The Drillers have split their six meetings with Corpus Christi this season, and have won four of six games with San Antonio. 

DRILLERS ON TV: The game on Saturday, July 4 will be televised live on KTUL Digital Channel 8.3 and Cox Channel 131.

Come out to the ballpark and celebrate our nation's independence with the first of back-to-back-to-back postgame, fireworks displays! The show is presented by the Tulsa World, FOX23 and MIX96.

FREE TICKETS FOR MILITARY MEMBERS

In appreciation for those who serve to help provide us with so many of our freedoms, the Drillers are offering free general admission tickets to active and retired military service members for Thursday night's game who have a valid military ID.

THIRSTY THURSDAY

The game at ONEOK Field will also feature another Thirsty Thursday. Fans will be able to quench their thirst with twelve ounce servings of Bud and Bud Light beers as well as 16 ounce servings of Pepsi products that will all be on sale for only $1 each.

Get your 4th of July weekend off to a great start as you take in some Friday night baseball followed by one of the best fireworks displays in Oklahoma! Make plans now to bring your family and friends! The night is presented by St Johns Strike Out Stroke, News On 6 and 98.5 KVOO.

OBI BLOOD DRIVE

From 3:30PM-9:30PM, there will be an Oklahoma Blood Institute trucks on site for fans to donate blood. All donors will receive tickets to a future Drillers game as well as a chance to win a Party Platform for you plus 19 friends as a way of saying thank you for giving the gift of life.

TULSA'S CHANNEL 8 GRAND SLAM SATURDAY / INDEPENDENCE DAY FIREWORKS

What better way to celebrate our nation's independence than with baseball, fireworks, hot dogs, hamburgers, and a cold beverage?! Come out and enjoy the festivities at the ballpark that will include personal size American flags being given to the first 1,500 fans, a pre-game ceremony including a color guard along with a post-game fireworks show among other things. The night is brought to you by River Spirit Casino, Tulsa's Channel 8 and 97.5 KMOD.

PATRIOTIC JERSEY AUCTION

All weekend long, the Drillers will be wearing special Stars and Stripes themed hats and jerseys in honor of our great nation. On Saturday, fans will be able to place bids in a silent auction to win one of these unique uniforms. All proceeds raised will go to support the Folds of Honor Foundation.

2 NEWS WORKS FOR YOU KIDS EAT FREE SOUVENIR SUNDAY / HORNSBY GROWTH CHART GIVEAWAY

It's another 2 News Works for You Kids Eat Free Souvenir Sunday. The first 500 kids aged 12 and under, can see how much they've grown over the summer with a Hornsby growth chart that will be given away at the Arvest and Oil Derrick entrances. All kids, 12 and under, will also get a Kids Eat Free Coupon that is redeemable for a free hot dog, drink and fruit. After the game, kids can once again circle the bases of ONEOK Field courtesy of Elote Café & Catering! The line begins in the first row between sections 103 and 104.

DODGER BLUE MONDAY

What better way to begin your week than to start it with baseball? Dodger Blue Monday's at ONEOK Field are a chance for fans to celebrate the Drillers' affiliation with the LA Dodgers. Players on the field will be wearing their Dodger Blue jerseys, and fans wearing blue will have a chance to win special prizes all game long. There will also be half price discounts on blue snow cones, blue cotton candy as well as a two for $5 special on Dodger Dogs.

SEASON TICKET HOLDER APPRECIATION DAY

Monday home games at ONEOK Field are also a time where the Drillers honor season ticket holders in several ways. Season ticket holders will be able to get in early and watch the Drillers hit batting practice beginning at 4:30PM. In addition, there will be discounts offered on Dodgers merchandise sold at the team store as well as on several food items including a BOGO offer for specialty popcorn offerings. The night is sponsored by McElroy Manufacturing and the Buzz Network.

The homestand will wrap up with another $2 Tuesday brought to you by 2 News Works For You, the City of Tulsa: Focus on the Four program and 106.1 The Twister! Fans can purchase General Admission Lawn tickets for only $2 each, while all other tickets are discounted $3 off normal prices. In addition, hot dogs, Mazzio's Pizza slices, 21 oz. Pepsi fountain drinks, jumbo soft pretzels and boxes of popcorn will all be on sale for only $2 each. Finally, from 6:00PM-8:00PM, it's $2 Shock Top Happy Hour!
