PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (July 17, 2015) - Matt Dean crushed two home runs, including a grand slam, to lead the Dunedin Blue Jays to a 10-3 win over the St. Lucie Mets at Tradition Field on Friday.

Dean launched a two-run homer off of Rob Whalen with two outs in the first inning to put the Blue Jays up 2-0.

With the game still in reach for the Mets in the sixth, Dean hammered a ball over the left field off of Mickey Jannis for a grand slam that made it 10-2. He finished with six RBI.

The Blue Jays have won five of six and they handed the Mets their second straight loss.

Blue Jays starter Jeremy Gabryszwski gave up a two-out, two-run single in the first to Stefan Sabol that tied the game, but he shut out the Mets over the final six innings. Gabryszwski allowed five hits and two runs (one earned) in seven innings to get the win. He walked one and struck out one.

Whalen was activated off the DL and made his first start since June 30. He lasted 3.2 innings and was tagged for five runs, three earned, on five hits. He walked two and struck out four.

Jannis, the originally scheduled starter, pitched the final 5.1 innings. He allowed all five of his runs, including the grand slam, in the sixth. Jannis walked five batters and struck out one.

Sabol went 2 for 4 and drove in all three of the Mets runs.
