The Aberdeen IronBirds have announced the rosters for the 2015 New York-Penn League Celebrity Softball game on Tuesday, August 18. The game will take place at 5:30 p.m., two hours before first pitch of the All-Star Game.

Two teams have been created and will be headed by the voice and the face of Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium. Public address announcer Danny Mays will be at the helm of Team Danny and on-field emcee Tess Strang will manage Team Tess.

Headlining Team Danny are former Orioles Brian Bass and Calvin Maduro. Bass pitched in three Major League seasons with the Orioles, Twins, and Pirates, amassing a 9-7 record in 101 games. Maduro played five seasons in the bigs, including three in Baltimore. He went 5-4 in 11 starts with the O's in 2001. Maduro also spent four years as a coach with the IronBirds and Gulf Coast League Orioles.

Team Tess will also feature a pair of former Orioles, John Parrish and Garrett Stephenson. Parrish pitched six season with the Orioles and nine total in the Majors. The Lancaster, Pennsylvania native was Orioles 25th round pick in the 1996 draft and went 12-12 with a 4.52 ERA in 153 games with the Orioles including 10 starts. Parrish struck out 9 Yankees in his big league debut July 24, 2000 matching Sammy Stewart's club record. He appeared in 65 games in 2004, pitching 75.2 innings, good for second among AL lefty relievers to teammate B.J. Ryan. Stephenson pitched in three games for the Orioles in 1996 before being traded to Philadelphia. The Maryland native pitched in seven big league season with the Orioles, Phillies, and Cardinals. He started the clinching game of the 2000 National League Divisional Series for the Cardinals, but did not receive a decision.

The game will also feature several stars from the professional wrestling circuit, including Patrick Clark from WWE Tough Enough. Some local celebrities from Aberdeen's police department and softball leagues will participate as well.
