Smokies-Shuckers' Postponed Sunday

Game To Be Made Up As Part Of Monday Twinbill At 2:10pm ET
September 6, 2015

The Tennessee Smokies' scheduled contest against the Biloxi Shuckers at MGM Park on Sunday evening has been postponed due to wet field conditions. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader beginning Monday afternoon at 2:10 p.m. ET.

Both games will last seven innings, with game two following approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

The two teams will conclude their regular season slates at 2:10 p.m. ET in Biloxi. The Smokies are anticipated to give the nod to LHP Jeffry Antigua (5-5, 4.60) in game one, while RHP Ryan Williams (10-2, 2.79) is expected to take the hill in the season finale. Biloxi is scheduled to send LHP Josh Hader (1-3, 2.94) to the mound in the opener, with RHP Tyler Wagner (11-5, 2.20) is set to take the bump in game two.

Tennessee will come into Monday afternoon's game having clinched a winning record in both the first and second half, marking the first time the club has accomplished that feat since 2011. The team will enter that evening with a 75-62 overall clip, as well as a 36-32 second half record.

The Smokies will begin their 2016 campaign at home on Thursday, April 7, starting a five-game series against the Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The entire 2016 schedule, in addition to season ticket information, can be found online at smokiesbaseball.com.
