Summary

The IronBirds defeated the Hudson Valley Renegades, 4-0 on Sunday to earn a series-win and keep their playoff-hopes alive. Cedric Mullins had two RBIs and the three pitchers combined to keep the Renegades off the board.

IronBirds for Three, Yes!

The IronBirds score three runs in the fifth inning to jump out to a 3-0 lead. Randy Gassaway scored on an error by Manny Sanchez in right field for the game's first run, before Cedric Mullins plated two with an automatic double to right-center field.

Score One More, Make it Four

Aberdeen tacked on another run in the sixth on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Mountcastle scoring Alex Murphy.

Bird Watching

Cristian Alvarado (five innings), Kory Groves (three innings), and Ryan Meisinger (one inning) combined to shutout the Renegades… Cedric Mullins has six RBIs in his last two games… The IronBird won their 40th game of the season, the third time they've done so in since the team began in 2002… The IronBirds enter the final game of the season with a chance to make the playoffs for the second time in franchise history.
