FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A Baseball affiliate of the Houston Astros, and Spectra Food Services & Hospitality will hold their annual Job Fair for game-day staff positions on Saturday, January 30th from 8:30am to 11:30am at Chukchansi Park. Combined, the two organizations staff an average of 500 positions each year that include: security, ushers, ticket takers, box office, team store personnel, housekeeping, lifeguards, bat boys, grounds crew, concessions, kitchen, and catering. All returning and new attendees for the job fair are asked to enter Chukchansi Park through Gate 2 off of H Street on the day of the event. Free parking is available in the lot on the corner of H and Kern Streets. Professional attire is highly recommended.

A downloadable application form can be found online at www.FresnoGrizzlies.com under the Contact Us tab. To apply for a position, applicants can download the Seasonal Employment Application for the Grizzlies or the Spectra Food Services & Hospitality Seasonal Job Application for Spectra. To make the application process as efficient as possible, the organizations ask that all interested applicants complete the downloadable application(s) prior to the Job Fair and come prepared with a hard copy to present on the day of the event. Applicants are eligible to apply for positions with both organizations.

"The job fair is a great way to get your foot in the door of professional sports," stated Grizzlies General Manager Derek Franks who was originally hired as an intern at the Job Fair in 2004. "The Grizzlies and Fuego are looking for individuals that are reliable, motivated and enthusiastic about being part of building unforgettable experiences at Chukchansi Park. We will give strong consideration to applicants that show desire to contribute to our family-friendly atmosphere in Downtown Fresno."

To stand out amongst the hundreds of individuals seeking to obtain a position with either organization, it is pertinent that applicants arrive early and show great enthusiasm and professionalism.

The first workday for the majority of hired applicants will be on Friday, April 15th at Chukchansi Park for Fresno Grizzlies Opening Day, with hours scheduled accordingly through the last day of the season, which is Sunday, August 28th. A complete 2016 season schedule for the Fresno Grizzlies can be found at FresnoGrizzlies.com.
