Crawdads Release 2016 Meet-N-Greets
Hickory, NC - The Hickory Crawdads will be bringing in a pair of Hall-of-Famers for Meet-N-Greets during the 2016 season, with WWE superstar Booker T. appearing on Saturday, August 13th followed by former Atlanta Brave and MLB great Gaylord Perry on Saturday, August 27th.
Meet-N-Greet tickets for both Booker T. and Gaylord Perry are on sale now for $30 apiece. Fans also have the option to attend both nights and save money with a Meet-N-Greet combo ticket for only $50. Fans who purchase a Meet-N-Greet ticket are treated to a special pre-game, private event that includes the opportunity to meet, take a photo with, and receive autographs from the celebrity. The Meet-N-Greet ticket also includes a picnic meal along with a Reserved ticket for the Crawdads game.
Both Meet-N-Greet events will begin at 5pm on their respective nights in the Picnic Pavilion. Tickets are available for purchase over the phone at (828) 322-3000, in person at L.P. Booker T. is a WWE Hall-of-Famer who accumulated 35 total championships during his stellar career that included stints with the WCW, WWF/E, & TNA. He is a 6-time World Heavyweight Champion and an 11-time Tag Team Champion in addition to winning the 2006 King of the Ring Tournament.
Perry was inducted in the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991 following a stellar 22-year career that saw the right-handed pitcher compile 311 wins, 3,534 strikeouts, and a 3.11 ERA. The North Carolina native became the first player ever to win a Cy Young in both the American and National Leagues when he took home the award with the Cleveland Indians in 1972 and later with the San Diego Padres in 1978. In all, Perry played for eight teams in his career, including a one-year stint with the Atlanta Braves in 1981.
