April 17, 2016
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Henry Centeno pitched five scoreless innings out of the bullpen and the Bowling Green Hot Rods (5-6) topped the Lansing Lugnuts (5-3), 5-2, splitting a four-game series at Bowling Green Ballpark.

The 21-year-old Centeno (Win, 1-0) relieved 19-year-old Bowling Green starter Genesis Cabrera to start the fifth inning, inheriting a 3-2 lead. He allowed only one hit, a Justin Atkinson leadoff single in the sixth, and finished the game by recording strikeouts for the final five outs. In all, Centeno whiffed seven while walking two.

Lansing starter Sean Reid-Foley (Loss, 1-1) pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing an unearned run in the second inning and two more runs in the fourth. For the second straight start, Reid-Foley both walked and struck out four batters apiece.

He was relieved by Evan Smith, who gave up a two-run double to Angel Perez in the sixth inning, closing out the scoring.

Josh DeGraaf pitched the seventh and eighth innings scorelessly, striking out two.

Offensively, the Lugnuts collected five hits from five different players, including an RBI single from Andrew GuillotteJake Anderson drew two of the team's four walks.

Next, the Lugs return to Mid Michigan to open a seven-game homestand against Fort Wayne and Lake County stretching through next Sunday. Right-hander Ryan Cook starts the opener on Monday night at 7:05 p.m.
