TROY, NY - The Tri-City ValleyCats and Coaches vs. Cancer are set to host the 4th Annual Friday Night Lights at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium on April 22, April 29, and May 6. Each night will feature two intriguing high school baseball match-ups, and each serving as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

The series begins on April 22 with Colonie High taking on Troy High at 4:00 p.m., which will be followed by Shaker vs. Christian Brothers Academy at 7:00 p.m.

On April 29, LaSalle Institute will face Voorheesville at 4:00 p.m., with Columbia vs. Taconic High taking place at 7:00 p.m.

Friday Night Lights concludes on May 6 with Averill Park vs. Pittsfield at 4:00 p.m., and Shen vs. Ballston Spa at 7:00 p.m. Both games are scheduled to be broadcast on Time Warner Cable Sports Channel.

Prior to each game, schools will honor a member of their community who has been affected by cancer.

Fundraising efforts were conducted by each participating school, and during the 5th inning of each game, volunteers from the schools will be conducting a "Beat the Clock" bucket collection to raise additional funds.

Additional fundraising comes from a portion of the ticket sales, and Friday Night Lights programs, which will be available for sale at the American Cancer Society table as you enter the stadium.

General admission tickets are available for $5.00, and can be purchased online by clicking here, at the Joseph L. Bruno Stadium Box Office, or by phone at 518-629-CATS (2287).
