"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" set for Aug. 6
(Akron, OH) April 26, 2016 - For the fourth consecutive summer, the Akron RubberDucks will host two Movie Nights at Canal Park! The giant 26' x 68' HD video board will be showing family-oriented movies to fans of all ages who can watch on blankets in the outfield grass of Canal Park!
The first Movie Night at Canal Park is Saturday, July 2 at 6 p.m., when the animated hit "Minions" will be shown. The force will be strong in downtown Akron on Saturday, Aug. 6 at 6 p.m., when "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will light up the night's sky. Gates open both nights at 5 p.m.
"We are excited to have another opportunity to bring affordable, family fun to Canal Park, even while the team is on a road trip. Our Movie Nights at Canal Park are a perfect way for families to spend time together and create an experience they will never forget," said RubberDucks General Manager Jim Pfander.
Tickets are $5 and children ages 3 and under enter for free. Gates will open at 5 p.m., and families will have the opportunity to play and relax in the outfield of Canal Park before the film is screened on the giant 26' x 68' HD video board, one of the largest in Minor League Baseball, which was installed into Canal Park in 2013. No outside food or beverages are permitted in the ballpark.

The Akron RubberDucks are the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. The 2016 season is its 20th since moving to Akron and third since becoming the RubberDucks.
