Collier Tosses Quality Start

The SeaWolves dropped their third straight to the Harrisburg Senators, 3-1, on Wednesday at Jerry Uht Park.

Erie broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the fourth inning against Senators starter Reynaldo Lopez. Gustavo Nunez led off with a single and moved to second on a balk. Nunez came in to score on a JaCoby Jones double for a 1-0 lead. Jones finished with his second straight game of two hits.

The Senators would take the lead in the fifth against Erie starter Tommy Collier. Brandon Webb walked, Shawn Pleffner reached on an error and Brian Jeroloman walked to load the bases. With two outs, Stephen Perez drew a walk, plating Webb, tying the game 1-1. Isaac Ballou followed up with a two-run double for a 3-1 Harrisburg lead.

The Senators bullpen of Wander Suero and Bryan Harper tossed three scoreless innings, preserving the win. Harper earned his third save.

Lopez (1-3) earned his first win of the season. He allowed a run on four hits with a walk and nine strikeouts, tying his career-high.

Collier (3-3) was the tough luck loser. He allowed three unearned runs on four hits with three walks and no strikeouts in six innings of work. All three Erie starters in the series (Cory Riordan and Myles Jaye) tossed quality starts.
