Triplets to Return in Uprooted Yard Goats Series
BINGHAMTON, NY - The Eastern League announced today the Binghamton Mets' four-game series against the Hartford Yard Goats starting July 4 will be played at NYSEG Stadium. In a one-time-only event, the Double-A Mets will play as the Binghamton Triplets for the new home game on July 6 with first pitch at 6:05 PM.
"We want to take this unique chance to try something new and creative," said team president John Hughes. "It's an unfortunate situation, but it gives us the opportunity to honor our past and give our fans a new experience."
For one night, the Double-A Mets will sport throwback Triplets jerseys to honor the beloved team that called the Southern Tier home from 1923 to 1968.
The Binghamton Mets are also hosting a Business Person's Special and Teacher Appreciation Day for the game on July 7. All teachers will be admitted free of charge to the 1:05 PM contest.
Due to the delayed availability of the Yard Goats' future home, Dunkin Donuts Park, the B-Mets will play as the road team at NYSEG Stadium. The League has announced the following revised schedule:
July 4 - July 7 (Hartford Yard Goats vs. Binghamton Mets):
July 4 (6:05 PM): Binghamton vs. Hartford at NYSEG Stadium
July 5 (6:05 PM): Binghamton vs. Hartford at NYSEG Stadium
July 6 (6:05 PM): Binghamton vs. Hartford at NYSEG Stadium
July 7 (1:05 PM): Binghamton vs. Hartford at NYSEG Stadium
In addition to this series, NYSEG Stadium will also serve as a neutral venue for the Yard Goats' three-game series against the Portland Sea Dogs starting July 8.

July 8 (6:05 PM): Hartford vs. Portland at NYSEG Stadium

Ticket Information
The newly-scheduled games on July 4 and July 5 will be closed to the public. No tickets will be sold, and no fans will be permitted to enter the stadium. General admission tickets for the game on July 6 are available for $7. General admission tickets for the game on July 7 are available for $5. The Yard Goats' neutral site games against the Sea Dogs will be closed to the public.
The B-Mets (25-33) open their regularly-scheduled three-game home series against the Yard Goats on Friday night at 7:05 PM. RHP Rainy Lara takes the mound for Binghamton. Fans can enjoy another edition of the Toyota Fireworks Series after the game. The Horizons Federal Credit Union Pregame Show can be heard starting at 6:50 PM on Newsradio 1290 WNBF and the Binghamton Mets channel on TuneIn.
