Boomer's Big Game Boosts Tri-City

The Tri-City Dust Devils (4-3) got a lift from a season-high 14 hits as the team topped the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes (4-3) 8-6 on Thursday night. Boomer White drove in four runs and finished the night with four hits, including three doubles.

After falling behind early 2-0, the Dust Devils rallied to score seven unanswered runs. The Volcanoes tightened the score late in the game, but Tri-City would never trail after bringing home five runs in the fifth inning. Reliever Will Stillman (1-0) earned the first win of his professional career after tossing two scoreless innings. Aaron Cressley faced the minimum in the ninth inning to collect his second save of the season.

Left-hander Will Headean will start the second game of the five-game road series Friday night. Salem-Keizer will counter with right-hander Raffi Vizcaino. The team will return home On June 28th to begin a six-game homestand.
