DAVENPORT, Iowa - The Quad Cities River Bandits gave up an eight-spot in the sixth inning and four runs in the ninth in a 12-5 loss to the Clinton LumberKings on Sunday night in front of 4,328 fans at Modern Woodmen Park. Hector Roa knocked three hits for Quad Cities and drove in three runs in the losing effort.

Three walks, two errors, and four hits contributed to the eight-run sixth frame for Clinton (14-4, 53-35). After two-straight walks started the inning, Conner Hale began the scoring barrage with a RBI-single. Luis Liberato had the only extra-base knock in the frame to plate two on a double. A RBI-single from Alex Jackson capped off the eight-run inning, giving Clinton an 8-2 edge over the Bandits (9-9, 40-47).

Pablo Lopez (5-0) notched his fifth win of the season for the LumberKings. The right-hander gave up two runs on six hits over seven innings while striking out five.

The Bandits took the lead with runs in the second and fourth. Kristian Trompiz doubled and then scored on a double from Roa in the second inning. Pat Porter led off the fourth with his fourth triple of the season and Roa knocked him in with a triple of his own triple put Quad Cities on top 2-0.

The River Bandits cut a six-run deficit in half in the bottom of the eighth. Myles Straw started the rally with a walk and Kyle Tucker later reached on a fielder's choice. Pat Porter drove home one with a single. Trompiz knocked a sacrifice fly and Roa plated his third runner of the ball game with a single to complete the three-run frame and cut the lead to 8-5.
